So early in the morning, it was still almost dark outside.
I was near the window in a bus heading to my daily routines.
Music playing in the background, my head leaning on the
window glass,
As I watched the morning rain drizzle, tightening my scurf to
feel warmer,
I saw this man walking up the road to deliver newspapers, he
was full of joy.
I saw a couple standing at the bus stop, holding hands,
smiling at each other.
I saw some school kids laughing loudly on the road, running
to school.
It all got me into deep thought; happiness comes on unexpectedly, and
goes beyond,
Any early morning talk about it. But what really is happiness?
Happiness is making peace with God often and knowing He loves
you unconditionally.
Happiness lies in the people we love, those we share
wonderful moments with.
Happiness lies in a beautiful day, where the sun is up, and
the sky is in a shade of blue.
Happiness lies in the smallest things that surround us; good
cup of coffee, nice music,
someone’s laughter, a smile so bright. It’s not always in
lavish lifestyles, fame or power.
Happiness is not in our circumstance, but in us.
It’s not something we see like a rainbow, or feel like the
heat of a fire.
Happiness is something we are.
